The goal of the program is to ensure the ecologically sustainable use of land in the Khachik community. As part of the initiative, the following environmental measures are planned:
- Conservation of biodiversity within the landscapes, with a focus on improving the habitats of Bezoar Goats, Armenian Mouflons, Brown Bears, and the Caucasian Leopard.
- Support for the community’s economic development through guaranteed annual investments.
- Prevention of poaching within the administrative boundaries of Khachik village under the supervision of rangers from the Arpa Protected Landscape.
- Enhancement of livestock productivity in the rural community.
- Improvement of biodiversity and resilience of forested areas near Khachik village to climate change and forest fires by converting pine plantations into natural forests.
- Monitoring the impact of the measures on target species and overall biodiversity.
- Promotion of tourism development in the area.
